Lab went really well today. For the most part, we noticed the groups got the stations correct.
The sugar in water station was physical, as was the Epsom Salt station and the iron filings and sulfer mixture station.
The remaining three stations were chemical changes. Baking soda in water produces gas. The calcium chloride and sodium chloride solutions produced a precipitate (solid) when mixed. The baking soda and citric acid reaction absorbed heat and produced a gas - both indications a chemical change occurred.
